Despite where you find yourself now, your life can be better: more hopeful, more empowered.

I have been in practice as a social worker since 1995, incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and brief therapy. This allows me to tailor approaches that empower clients to seek solutions in a supportive and collaborative environment. I see individuals, couples, and families and work with children ages five and older as well as adults. I have helped people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, parenting and family issues, stress, physical illness, identity issues, faith issues, and a host of situations. I aim to tap into the inner strengths that each person has and consider other resources that may be helpful to them.

I earned my Masters degree in Social Work from Marywood University, completing internships both in a hospital-hospice social work setting and in Project HEARTH, which is an in-home program for seniors. I was then employed at Family Services of Pottstown for 15 years, serving as Branch Supervisor. In addition to providing psychotherapy, I also facilitated a domestic violence support group in conjunction with the Women’s Center of Montgomery County. An enjoyable part of my work involved supervising graduate students as they completed their practicum experience. I then worked for four years as a therapist in a psychiatrist’s private practice.

My awards include membership in Alpha Epsilon Lambda (Academic Excellence and Leadership for business and professional students) and receipt of an outstanding service award from Family Services in 2005. I have received additional training in conflict mediation and group facilitation as well as skills of supervision.

I enjoy the process of collaborating with people to find meaning, strengthen relationships, and live life more fully. Join me for the journey!
